Construction Technician (Entry-Level)

What You'll Do Join ECS Limited as a Field Technician and receive a $500 signing bonus! No experience required and all training and certifications are provided! ***Starting pay of $16 - $20 per hour*** ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for a talented Field Technician to join our Greensboro team and advance in a dynamic work environment. No prior experience is needed, as you'll work under the guidance of experienced professionals to learn to safely perform a variety of tasks. Responsibilities Field Activities: Conduct observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement. Execute tasks based on project requirements under the guidance of senior technicians, staff professionals, and project managers. Testing Procedures: Conduct routine field and/or laboratory tests for soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, and asphalt using various methodologies and testing equipment following industry standards and compliance. Data Collection: Perform calculations and data reduction based on sampling, test results, and inspections. Engage in drafting and other administrative duties as required. Communication: Maintain daily communication with site contractors, fellow technicians, and project managers. Training and Development: Receive training in ECS methodology for project observations, inspections, and testing. Document findings with precision in accordance with accepted engineering practices. Encourage participation in internal and external training programs and certification opportunities provided by organizations such as ACI, ASNT, AWS, ICC, NICET, NRCA, RCI, various State DOTs, WACEL, and others, as appropriate. What We're Looking For Required Experience & Skills No experience required. Position requires carrying 40 – 70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lift 85 lbs to waist height. Must have valid driver's license and insurance. Must provide suitable transportation for use on job sites – Mileage will be reimbursed. Required Education High School diploma or GED.
