Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inside Sales Representative to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for managing customer accounts, processing orders, and supporting the sales team by providing product information, quotes, and exceptional customer service. A key part of this role involves preparing accurate cost estimates for customer quotes, requiring close collaboration with production and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, strong estimating skills, and a passion for building strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
•Respond to inbound inquiries via phone, email, and web regarding products, pricing, and availability.
•Generate quotes, process orders, and follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
•Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers while identifying new sales opportunities.
•Collaborate with production, logistics, and engineering teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products.
•Assist in preparing sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis.
•Support outside sales representatives with lead generation and customer follow-up.
•Stay up to date on product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor activity.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
•2+ years of inside sales or customer service experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software (Dynamics GP).
•Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
•Technical aptitude and willingness to learn about manufacturing processes and products.
Preferred Skills:
•Experience with ERP systems.
•Knowledge of manufacturing terminology and supply chain processes.
•Bilingual abilities are a plus.
