Merrimack Health is the newly unified regional health system formed through the 2024 integration of Lawrence General Hospital with the Holy Family Hospitals (Methuen and Haverhill campuses). Position Overview:

We seek a board-certified/board-eligible internal medicine or family medicine-trained Hospitalist to join our team on a per diem basis. This position comes with clinical responsibilities at Lawrence and Methuen Hospitals and a minimum shift requirement (2 per month) . You will be responsible for managing the treatment of patients admitted to Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence or Methuen Hospital in Massachusetts.

Ideal Candidates:

• Board-certified/board-eligible internal medicine or family medicine-trained physician
• Collaboration and engagement with the interdisciplinary team.
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus but not required.

Hospitalist Responsibilities:

• Direct care and develop comprehensive treatment plans for adult hospitalized patients
• Communicate with patients and their designated healthcare advocate on progress and plans
• Ensure appropriate transfer of care when assigned hours of service end and upon patient discharge from the hospital
• Document daily involvement in patient care in the medical record and record charges appropriate to the level of service provided and documented
• Opportunity to participate in quality and process improvement projects as well as hospital committees and Teaching
• Perform duties in a manner that complies with all applicable standards, rules, policies, and regulations of the hospital, Joint Commission, and relevant local, state, and federal regulations

Schedule and Employment:

• Per diem employment includes malpractice coverage; a minimum of 2 shifts per month. Coverage includes PTO of our full-time FTE's; one weekend a month as well as weekdays.
