Job Summary :

  • Truck Cab Manufacturers Inc. is seeking a skilled Offline Brake Press Programmer to develop accurate and efficient bending programs using SigmaBEND for both Cincinnati and Accurpress brake press machines.
  • This role focuses on translating engineering drawings into bend-ready programs, optimizing tool selection, and ensuring parts are designed for manufacturability and quality.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sheet metal forming, bend allowances, and brake press operations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Use SigmaBEND to create offline bending programs for Cincinnati and Accurpress brake press machines.
  • Interpret technical drawings and 3D models to plan bend sequences and tool setups.
  • Optimize bend programs for accuracy, safety, and efficiency.
  • Select appropriate tooling and account for bend allowances, material type, and part geometry.
  • Collaborate with engineering and brake press operators to resolve challenges and validate programs.
  • Maintain organized records of programs, setups, revisions, and notes for future runs.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to forming quality and throughput.

    • Qualifications :

  • Experience programming press brakes using SigmaBEND or comparable offline bending software.
  • Strong knowledge of brake press operations, bend sequence strategy, and tool selection.
  • Familiarity with Cincinnati and Accurpress press brakes strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models.
  • Solid understanding of sheet metal properties and fabrication processes.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently and with production staff.
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Previous experience in a metal fabrication environment is a plus.
