JOB DESCRIPTION: Location: downtown Houston, TX Lead efforts to identifying request for quote analysis with specifics experience in understanding the Indirect categories such as IT hardware, software, telecoms, HR services and Administrative services ( such things as outsourcing HR service analysis , continent staffing and recruiting agreement, training consultants , Office supplies real estate etc.) Provide skilled assistance in the acquisition of Indirect Procurement of IT, Administrative Services and HR materials and services. Demonstrate technical procurement knowledge of Indirect Procurement categories. Assess customer needs while recommending and utilizing contracts best suited for customers. Provides technical procurement expertise to customers in the acquisition process, receipt of goods and any other related issues Works collaboratively within Supply Chain team and Key Stakeholders to identify and develop savings opportunities around indirect spend Meets with key customers routinely and proactively advising customer management of sourcing and contract value opportunities through negotiating or revising existing relationships Provides sourcing methodology by providing strategy solutions for contract start up functions SCM lead in product standardization process, involving department manager to determine needs Participates in reviewing emerging opportunities within the supply community and acting as an advisor to management Evaluates contract relationships through bid analysis and market comparatives, including identifying savings realized and new potential opportunities Evaluates, negotiates, and provides proposals for contract annual price reviews Leads complete contract negotiations and implementation of supplier contracts and agreements Work with suppliers in driving the utilization of enabling technology solutions Review and provides recommendations on sole source justification Monitor, assess and provide feedback for adjusting sourcing strategies, with a significant impact to the business, based on supplier and market intelligence Ensure current and continued compliance with all regulatory requirements, policies and procedures both internally and externally to the Institution Work independently with key suppliers to develop a product curriculum to enhance team’s knowledge of materials and services Lead Supplier Relationship management Qualifications BS or BA in SCM or other related business degrees 10-15 years’ experience working in Indirect Procurement categories. Experience in organizations utilizing best in class supply chain practices Skillful application of negotiation and influencing Skillful knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices including sourcing, market analysis, contracting methodologies, risk analysis, and supplier performance management Good communication and presentation skills Strong networking, interpersonal and collaboration skills Strong written, verbal and PC skillsSCM Category Lead • Houston, Texas, US
