Structural Engineer (PE) – Houston Area
A growing, full-service civil and structural engineering firm is seeking a Licensed Structural Engineer to join its Houston team. This is a hands-on role with leadership opportunity, supporting a mix of residential and light commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design structural systems for residential and commercial developments
- Perform calculations for wood, steel, and reinforced concrete structures
- Prepare designs for slabs, foundations, and retaining walls
- Apply codes such as IRC, IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC
- Review plans, resolve technical issues, and ensure design accuracy
- Provide guidance to junior staff and collaborate with project teams
- Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- PE license in Texas required
- Bachelor’s in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, RISA, and Microsoft Office
