Job Description
This role provides front desk reception support at laboratory locations, welcoming patients, managing check-in, and completing essential administrative and clerical tasks. The position offers a contract-to-hire path and a strong opportunity to gain experience in a medical setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients in a professional and friendly manner as they arrive at the lab.
- Check in patients efficiently and accurately, following established procedures.
- Verify patient insurance information and ensure all required details are complete and correct.
- File documents and maintain organized records in accordance with office protocols.
- Perform general front desk duties, including answering inquiries and directing patients as needed.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to ensure smooth daily operations of the lab reception area.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a receptionist or administrative role.
- Previous experience performing front desk duties in a professional environment.
- Ability to verify insurance information accurately.
- Strong administrative support and clerical skills.
- Comfort working in a medical or healthcare-related setting.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks at the front desk.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a medical office, clinic, or laboratory environment is an advantage.
- Familiarity with patient check-in processes and basic medical office procedures.
- Ability to learn and use office and patient management systems efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling patient and insurance information.
Work Environment
Hours are Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3pm. This is a contract-to-hire position based at lab locations, working primarily at the front desk and reception area. The role involves regular interaction with patients and medical staff in a professional healthcare environment. You will spend most of the day at the reception desk using computers, phones, and office equipment to support patient check-in and administrative tasks. Standard professional attire is expected to maintain a welcoming and respectful environment for patients and visitors.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
