Job description

Position Description

The seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach.

Temporary/nontenured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester. Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a semester-by-semester basis.
Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental/school need. Successful candidates may teach at the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses and/or online, depending on the needs of the academic department.

This posting is for the Fall , Spring , and Summer semesters.
Please note that this posting is not intended to convey that such a need currently exists. Applicants applying for a pool faculty position will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration as the need arises.

Positions are subject to availability of funds. Required Qualifications

  • An earned doctorate in Biology or a closely related life science field.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience teaching undergraduate courses as the instructor of record
