Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Grants Administration, the Grants Coordinator maintains and provides assistance with grant communication, documentation, and other related activities. The Grants Coordinator will also assist in coordination of region-wide meetings and development of communication materials (disseminated through e-newsletters and development of website content) that are shared within our regional network.

Essential Duties

  • Document Management: Maintain master files on grants and ensure all contracts and grant files are updated and accurate; Gather needed documentation and assist in the execution of sub-awards and related amendments; Maintain grant-related databases.
  • Communications: Document and disseminate meeting minutes; Develop and design grant-related materials and newsletters; Review and update grant related websites; Gather needed documentation and assist in the execution of sub-awards and related amendments.
  • Grant Management: Support pre- and post-award grants management activities, including conducting risk assessments and financial/programmatic monitoring of subrecipients; processing and reviewing subrecipient invoices and expenditure reports for allowability and accuracy; collecting, compiling, and validating programmatic and financial data for funder reporting requirements; tracking reporting deadlines and maintaining a reporting calendar across multiple funders and subrecipients; tracking grant budgets and expenditures against approved award terms; assisting with subrecipient agreement setup, modifications, and close-out; and supporting compliance with applicable federal (e.g., 2 CFR Part 200) and funder-specific requirements.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate event logistics for meetings, seminars, and conferences by coordinating registration, fees, and reimbursements, preparing materials, proof reading, and interacting with speakers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent years of experience).
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in grant administration, grant management, grant writing, and implementing public health programs.

Required Licenses/Certifications

  • Basic Life Support(BLS) Certification (or ability to obtain within three months of hire).
  • HIPAA Training (or ability to complete within one month of hire).

Additional Required Qualifications

  • Experience working in a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AA/AS/BA/BS degree in public health or related field preferred.

Compensation listed is the expected salary base at time of hire. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.


About the Organization
The Center for Comprehensive Care & Diagnosis of Inherited Blood Disorders (CIBD), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is committed to providing comprehensive care for patients and their families with rare, chronic inherited blood disorders. CIBD is a part of a nationwide network of over 140 Hemophilia Treatment Centers that use multidisciplinary teams of blood disorder specialists to provide expert comprehensive diagnosis, medical care, outreach, education, outcomes monitoring, surveillance, and prevention services to people with Hemophilia, Sickle-Cell Anemia, Thalassemia, Von Willebrand Disease, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) and other related benign hematology conditions. CIBD is the regional grantee for the Western States Region for Hemophilia, the Pacific Sickle Cell Regional Collaborative (PSCRC) and Networking California for Sickle Cell Care (NCSCC) providing regional leadership, fiscal and administrative oversight, grants management, capacity building, clinical education, technical assistance, evaluation, and outreach to public and private health agencies at the local, state, and federal levels.
