Job Title: Machine Operator – Roll Forming LineJob DescriptionThis role operates and supports a roll forming production line in a steel manufacturing environment, ensuring high-quality parts are produced efficiently and accurately. You set up tooling, load equipment programs, and maintain production documentation while working in a fast-paced setting that requires strong attention to detail and a focus on safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Operate the roll forming line used in the production process and assist other machine operators as needed.
- Support machine setup by preparing and installing tooling and loading programs required for equipment performance.
- Monitor production to ensure parts meet quality standards and take responsibility for the overall quality of parts produced on the line.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a consistent output of approximately two parts per minute.
- Provide a high level of attention to detail and remain focused on assigned tasks throughout the shift.
- Perform quality inspections using gauges, calipers, and micrometers to verify dimensions and product specifications.
- Document production numbers and related information accurately as needed for tracking and reporting.
- Handle and move materials safely, including lifting up to 25 pounds as part of daily tasks.
- Collaborate with team members on smaller production lines of three to four people to maintain smooth operations.
Essential Skills- At least 2 years of experience operating a machine in a steel manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience operating a roll forming or coil machine.
- Demonstrated steel materials experience in production or machining settings.
- Ability to work comfortably and safely in a fast-paced environment with continuous production flow.
- Capability to maintain a production rate of approximately two parts per minute.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
- Quality inspection experience using gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay focused on repetitive tasks.
- Basic machine operation skills, including use of hand tools for setup and adjustments.
- Experience with production, assembly, and inspection in a manufacturing environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience working with coiled steel is a plus.
- Crane certification is a plus.
- Previous experience with roll forming processes is an advantage.
- Comfort working as part of a small production team on shared lines.

Work Environment
The role is based in a smaller, family-style manufacturing shop with close-knit production teams of three to four people working together on each line. The facility focuses on steel production and roll forming operations, and fans run during the summer to provide airflow and a more comfortable environment. The position follows a first-shift schedule from 7:00 . to 3:30 ., supporting steady daytime hours. You use standard manufacturing tools and inspection equipment such as hand tools, gauges, calipers, and micrometers. Steel-toe footwear is required as part of the safety-focused dress code.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
