The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Acute Rehabilitation Hospital of Plano provides direct patient care, assists the nursing team, and delivers exceptional service in a compassionate, patient-centered environment. The CNA supports patients with activities of daily living while promoting dignity, comfort, safety, and independence throughout the rehabilitation process.

CNA Responsibilities:
Provide personal care to patients in a manner conducive to their safety, comfort, and well-being consistent with hospital policies and procedures.
Promote and support the greatest possible degree of independence for patients.
Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, mobility, and repositioning.
Communicate patient status, observations, and concerns to the supervising nurse at the beginning and end of each shift.
Contribute knowledge of patient conditions and needs to care plans.
Assist in the implementation of care plans as directed within established policies and procedures.
Observe, report, and document patient conditions and changes as required.
Comply with safe lifting, transfer, and mobility procedures in accordance with hospital policy.
Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Ensure equipment is clean, functional, and available for patient care needs.
Perform incidental housekeeping or support tasks as necessary to maintain patient care areas.
Perform other duties as assigned.
CNA Requirements:
Current State certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required.
Previous rehabilitation, acute care, hospital, or skilled nursing experience preferred.
Complete familiarity with the duties and responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Strong observation and patient care skills required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting and physical demands of the role.
