PT tech

About the Role:
Physical Therapy Center of Chesapeake is looking for a motivated and compassionate PT Tech to join our dedicated rehabilitation team in Chesapeake, VA. Responsibilities:

• Assist physical therapists in delivering patient care and executing individualized treatment plans
• Prepare and set up treatment areas, equipment, and modalities prior to patient sessions
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises under the supervision of a licensed PT
• Apply and monitor physical therapy modalities such as heat, ice, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, equipment, and treatment spaces
• Assist with patient intake, positioning, and transfers as needed
• Document patient progress and report observations to the supervising physical therapist

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in exercise science, kinesiology, or healthcare a plus
• Previous experience in a physical therapy or healthcare setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-centered, empathetic approach
• Ability to stand, move, and assist patients physically throughout the shift
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Basic computer skills for documentation and scheduling support
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
