The Safety Engineer will meet and discuss Safety with all working trades onsite providing insight into Franjo Constructions Culture, expectations, and goals. Essential FunctionsPlan of the day communications with the Safety Director.Daily site inspections of assigned projects.Daily communications with the project superintendent/foreman.Identifying hazards and reviewing them with specific trades.Specific JHA/JSA problem solving.Ensure all local, state, and federal requirements are being followedpetenciesStrong collaborative, organizational, communication, writing, and problem-solving skills.Strong Labor Management skills.Teamwork Orientated.Strong Dedication, Creativity, and High Energy outlook; willingness to go above and beyond. Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. TravelTravel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected. Percentage of Travel is estimated at about 0- 50 %, but can vary based on various projectsRequired Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Occupational Health/ Safety or relevant experience in lieu of educationMust have current driver's license and maintain current OSHA 300 and 500 certifications Must be able to pass a 7 year background check. We also conduct pre-employment drug testing. Job offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation and pre-employment drug screen.
