Housekeeping Supervisor

Position:

• Housekeeping Supervisor Department: Housekeeping Location: Philadelphia, PA The Study at University City is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to support and mentor our Housekeeping team.
• This role oversees the daily operations of guest rooms, public areas, and laundry while ensuring a clean, comfortable, and consistent guest experience aligned with Study Hotels brand standards.
• The Housekeeping Supervisor partners closely with the Director of Housekeeping to lead team performance, maintain quality standards, and support efficient daily operations.
• This position requires strong attention to detail, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure quality and cleanliness standards are met.
• Assign and manage daily boards and workloads for housekeeping team members.
• Train, mentor, and support team members to ensure accountability and consistent performance.
• Maintain inventory levels for linens, uniforms, and housekeeping supplies.
• Support and implement cleaning and preventative maintenance programs.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve concerns to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Partner with other departments to support hotel operations and guest needs.
• Assist in scheduling and staffing to align with occupancy and business levels.
• Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on service and quality.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and operational standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support hotel operations.

Fundamentals Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of housekeeping experience in a full-service hotel; supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and hotel departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to perform indoor and outdoor rounds in non-extreme weather conditions.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
