Summary
• Building new sites and designing landing pages in SharePoint in partnership with content owners who are new to using SharePoint and IT SharePoint technical experts
• Enhance user experience by creating user-friendly layouts and maintaining a standardized, organized structure within the departments SharePoint and Shared Drive environment
• Maintaining SharePoint site and content/documents for select sites
• Providing change management support for SharePoint sites and/or features being decommissioned
• Accurately translating needs, requirements, and concerns between IT technical staff and scientists regarding security policies and user requests
• Drives timely completion of projects by coordinating resources and timetables with users and IT partners
• Verifies project results by conducting tests on systems implemented
• Reinforce established best practices to scientists and leaders about how to best utilize OneDrive vs. SharePoint vs. Network Shared Drives to store files and collaborate
• Providing change management support for transitioning between Network Shared Drive systems
• Compiling project reports and informing management regarding problems
In delivering this work, you will be expected to:
• Have strong Customer Service Skills
• Apply basic-level understanding of UX/UI principles to SharePoint site designs
• Troubleshoot user challenges with SharePoint Sites and Network Shared Drives
• Share and ensure the application of best practices that apply across functional groups within the department
• Communicate clearly, apply strong writing and presentation skills
• Work independently and within a team structure
• Work across business functions to ensure that data storage and collaboration needs for scientists are met at an individual/team level, while maintaining operational continuity at the organizational level
Requirements:
• Strong experience with building, designing, and maintaining SharePoint sites, preferably in Microsoft 365 (i.e.: SharePoint Online)
• Project management experience highly preferred
• Ability structure to vaguely defined problems while using creative yet pragmatic problem-solving approaches and execution management
• Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to quickly build a wide network of relationships and drive organizational engagement and alignment
• Talent for creating connectivity across multiple functions in a matrixed team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
• Undergraduate (BA/BS) degree, scientific field a plus (e.g. BSc in biology or immunology)
• At least 2 years of professional experience or accreditation in the life sciences or biopharmaceutical-discipline or industry
