As an Application Support Specialist - DevOps Developer in PNC's Corporate & Institutional Banking (C&IB) Payments Engine organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.
Our team’s mission is to maintain, support, and ensure the stability of non-production environments for PNC’s payment processing systems. This includes:
Troubleshooting and resolving system problems
Root cause analysis and correction resulting in prevention
Implementing complex vendor software upgrades
Configuring, provisioning and supporting various payments processing applications
Creating and maintaining technical documentation
Automating routine tasks that the team performs
Supporting the department’s DevOps initiative by developing automation for Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployments (CI/CD)
Developing an in-depth knowledge of supported systems and applications
You will use the tools, technologies, platforms and languages listed below (not a complete list). Experience with these is a big plus but is not required, however you must have the ability and desire to learn them.

In this position you will get a complete, holistic understanding of the payments ecosystem at PNC which will serve as the foundation for advancement within the department into increasing responsibility and opportunities to move into different roles such as development/programming. This understanding will give you a distinct advantage over your peers who only have development experience.

Technical Troubleshooting – Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques, and the ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical (hardware, software, application or operational) problems.
Technical Writing/Documentation – Knowledge of the technical language and writing approach, and the ability to write paper-based and on-line technical reference documentation (guidelines, standards, procedures, processes, applications, etc.)
Work Experience
Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 2+ years of relevant professional experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
