Job description
The Outdoor Cooking counselor is primarily responsible for implementing and instructing cooking lessons for Outdoor Explorer campers, ages 6-12. The Outdoor Cooking Counselor will also prepare and instruct cooking lessons for 4 & 8-week campers, ages 4-17. S/he should have a strong knowledge of fire safety in the outdoors and be able to teach a variety of cooking methods. The Outdoor Cooking counselor may also assist in a variety of Outdoor Explorers and Reservoir Staff curriculums as needed.
Prerequisites:
- Completed first year of college (by start of summer)
- Ability to obtain ARC First Aid and CPR Certifications
- Must attend Staff Training
- Experience with children
47 hrs/week, starting at $825/week
