Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Electrician to join our team in Connecticut. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and/or industrial environments. The successful candidate must have strong technical knowledge, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Perform electrical inspections and ensure compliance with Connecticut and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
- Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and team members.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Participate in on-call or emergency service work as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Connecticut Electrical License (E1, E2, or applicable license preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of electrical experience (or equivalent apprenticeship experience).
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and safety practices.
- Ability to diagnose and repair electrical problems efficiently.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environments, including ladders, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with residential, commercial, or industrial electrical projects.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience with generators, controls, automation, or solar installations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Stamford, CT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $45.00/hr.
