Systems Engineer

Job Description

AttainIT is seeking a Systems Engineer to be a member of a multi-disciplinary team of system engineers responsible for data delivery services for a high visibility program.

Required Skills

Must have an active Top Secret/Special Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) with Polygraph clearance.

· Design cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS

· Work collaboratively with software engineering to define infrastructure and deployment requirements

· Provision, configure and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure defined as code

· Ensure configuration and compliance with configuration management tools

· Administer and troubleshoot Linux and Windows based systems

· Troubleshoot problems across a wide array of services and functional areas

· Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of AWS infrastructure and systems

· Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization

· Experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, Security Groups, IAM, S3)

· Strong understanding of how to secure AWS environments and meet compliance requirements

· Solid foundation of networking and Linux administration

· Experience with Docker, GitHub, Jenkins and deploying applications on AWS

· Ability to learn/use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools

Desired Skills

· Knowledge of DevOps Automation, to include a working knowledge of CloudFormation, Ansible, and Linux systems administration

· Experience with development using PHP, Python, and MySQL

· Experience integrating systems with the customer’s auditing, system log collection, and security scanning services

· A working knowledge of system and network security as it applies to deploying EC2-based services to AWS

· Current experience working with A&A processes.

· Good written and verbal communication skills.
