  • Position Overview Keep our communities fed\. Porters work as a part of a team to reserve a clean and tidy environment throughout our facilities\. These critical roles help to support our prideful work environment and the delivery of high quality product to our customers\. As a Porter, you will clean and maintain the administrative offices, warehouse and other assigned areas in order to satisfy company and governmental guidelines\. You will clean and sanitize designated areas of a warehouse as well as tend to product spill clean\-up\. All of our employees are expected to make safety their top priority\. Job Description Text “CS” to 32543 to learn more about how you can become a part of our legacy\. + Earn $17\.00 per hour + Shift \- 1st shift + Weekly pay + Location \- Bethlehem, Pa You will contribute by : + Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian / janitor + Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse, including office space, employee break areas, windows and restrooms + Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors + Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product + Tending to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc\. + Collecting plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly + Following all material handling equipment safe operating procedures + Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels + Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures What’s a great way to stay in shape? + Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift + Walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc\. + Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 \- 60 lbs\. or more + Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead + Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height + Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools We offer : + Paid training provided + Weekly Pay + Benefits available from day 1 \(medical, dental, vision, company matched 401k\) + PTO and Holiday Pay offered + In certain locations C&S offers $100 towards the purchase of safety shoes + Career Progression Opportunities + Tuition Reimbursement + Employee Health & Wellness program + Employee Discounts / Purchasing programs + Employee Assistance Program Your work environment may include : Grocery Qualifications Attendance, General Equivalency Diploma \- General Studies, High School Diploma \- General Studies, Initiative, Productivity, Quality, Safety, Values Company C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC About Our Company C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is an industry leader in supply chain solutions and wholesale grocery supply in the United States\.
