Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the company’s accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting, hands-on experience with Foundation Software, and a solid understanding of WIP reporting and job costing.

This is a fully onsite position — no remote or hybrid work. The company generates approximately $30M in annual revenue.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations
• Manage WIP reporting, job costing, and project financials
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
• Oversee AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger
• Monitor job profitability, costs, and cash flow
• Work closely with Project Managers and ownership
• Manage month-end and year-end close
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Maintain accurate construction accounting records and reporting
• Improve accounting processes and internal controls

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within construction
• Must have construction contracting experience
• Must have hands-on Foundation Software experience
• Strong WIP and job-costing experience required
• Experience with construction financial reporting
• Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work onsite and collaborate directly with ownership and operations
