🕒 Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week | Overtime Eligible💵 Starting Pay: $22.79/hour📅 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Weekends as needed)Are you a skilled equipment operator with a CDL looking for a stable, full-time role with great benefits and variety in your workday? Join our team and help maintain the essential services that keep our city running smoothly!🔧 Position Overview:In your first two years, you'll work in the Environmental Services Division, performing recycling collection duties on the back of a recycling truck. During the winter season, on-call overtime is expected for snow and ice operations.After that, you'll rotate through other divisions such as Streets, Forestry, and Parks Maintenance, gaining experience with a wide range of equipment and public service tasks.🛠️ Key Responsibilities:Environmental Services Division:Operate recycling and yard waste collection vehiclesSafely load/unload containers and respond to curbside service issuesDrive to material recovery or compost facilitiesStreets Division:Operate dump trucks, snow plows, salters, and other heavy equipmentPerform street repairs, snow removal, drainage maintenance, and moreForestry & Parks Maintenance:Trim, plant, and remove treesMaintain parks, ball fields, and public spacesPerform building and equipment maintenanceAll Divisions:Conduct daily vehicle inspectionsMaintain communication with supervisorsRespond to emergencies in all weather conditions✅ What You'll Need:High school diploma or equivalentValid Michigan CDL – Class A or BAbility to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding conditionsComfort working outdoors in all weather, including nights and weekendsStrong teamwork, communication, and safety awareness🎁 What We Offer:Competitive Pay: $22.79/hourFull Benefits Package, including:Medical, Dental, VisionCity-funded HSA contributions (up to $6,600)Medical Waiver Stipend (up to $5,000/year)Short-Term Disability, Life InsuranceRetirement PlanPet Insurance, LegalShield, IDShieldMI 529 Education Savings ProgramEmployee Assistance Program & Discounts💪 If you're ready to take on a physically active, rewarding role with room to grow and serve your community, we want to hear from you!
