PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an Assembler- Soldering and Rework- Aerospace, in Clearwater, FL. Job ID#226520 Job Description: Candidate must be an extraordinary solder technician or operator that has used re-work equipment and has experience with surface mount components. Please submit candidates with at least 5 years experience soldering. Please do not send resumes with less than 5 years of soldering manufacturing experience. Please don't send people who jump jobs every year and don't meet experience requirements. Uses microscope to verify correct part placement and orientation, manually align parts before soldering and perform post re-flow inspection and , solder voids / insufficient solder, solder shorts/ bridges, misaligned parts / leads, tombstoned and or billboarded components and any other solder defects that may occur during the SMT (AOI) equipment to aid in identifying solder defects and understand what are false calls vs. real calls or issuesMust be able to read instructions and identify standard SMT , hot plates, and BGA removal (ERSA or other OEM)Experience reviewing boards under X-ray to identify solder defects on bottom terminated componentsExperience running, soldering, and tacking down jumper wires on re-design boards is a plusIPC-610 Certification (expired or active is a MUST)IPC J-STD-001 Certification (expired or active is a MUST) Benefits offered to vary by the contract.
