Job Summary:
The Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling patient care staff and providing assistance to administrative staff.
Responsibilities:
Receives initial referral from intake and verifies information such as patent demographics, insurance coverage, PCP, emergency contact and any other pertinent information related to home health care services.
Updates and corrects any missing or incorrect information found during initial call to ensure SOC clinician has correct information.
Schedules/ coordinates patient care staff according to Agency policy and under the supervision of the Clinical Director/ Supervisor.
Updates information daily regarding employee absentee status for no call/no show, cancellations, refusals and employee illness and reports this information to Clinical Supervisor.
Schedules/coordinates all admissions, initial visits, discharges and routine visits for field clinicians according to the Agency policy and under the supervision of the Quality Review Manager and Director of Patient Services.
Assists in answering phones and maintains pertinent information regarding incoming calls, availability and comments using communication notes.
Runs and works reports as assigned to ensure compliance.
Updates Quality Review team regarding patient issues and concerns in a timely manner.
Schedules all necessary personnel to resolve call outs and all last-minute cancellations.
Reviews all team discipline schedules daily.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Customer Service: 2 years (required).
Home health: 1year (preferred).
Scheduling for medical staff is preferred.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel.
Effective organization skills with attention to detail.
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to represent the Agency as a professional.
Working Conditions:
This position typically operates in an office environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
