Internal Medicine - Physician

Brigham and Women's Primary Care is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to join our growing network of primary care practices throughout Eastern Massachusetts. We prioritize quality over volume, giving physicians the time and support needed to provide exceptional care. With dedicated 30-minute visits, approximately 16 patients per day, and a thoughtfully structured three-year panel ramp-up, physicians can focus on continuity of care, meaningful patient relationships, and clinical excellence without the pressure of unrealistic productivity expectations.

Supported by a Team, Focused on Your Patients

Exceptional primary care is a team effort. Our interdisciplinary care model is designed to support physicians and enhance patient outcomes by addressing both medical and social needs. Working alongside Registered Nurses, Population Health Coordinators, Clinical Social Workers, Community Health Workers, and Resource Specialists, physicians can practice at the top of their license while knowing patients have access to the resources and support they need beyond the exam room. This collaborative approach helps reduce administrative burden, improve care coordination, and improve the patient experience.

Academic Medicine

For physicians who value teaching and professional growth, we offer the opportunity to remain actively engaged in academic medicine while building a rewarding clinical practice. Eligible physicians may pursue an optional Harvard Medical School academic appointment, teach medical students and, or residents. Through the expansive Mass General Brigham network, physicians also gain access to research opportunities, mentorship, and professional collaborations that support continued growth and advancement throughout their careers.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Active Massachusetts medical license or ability to obtain licensure, including MCSR and DEA

Appointment at Harvard Medical School—Depending upon the position, there may be opportunities to teach residents and medical students. All Harvard Medical School Faculty appointments require at least 50 hours of teaching per academic year. Harvard Medical School faculty appointment is not a requirement for this position. Academic rank as Instructor or Assistant Professor, full-time or part-time at Harvard Medical School, will be considered for applicants meeting teaching expectations and will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements.

Total annual cash compensation for a Primary Care Physician generally ranges from $245,000 to $330,000 and includes base salary and eligible performance-based incentives. Physicians who achieve a full clinical panel and meet defined performance benchmarks are typically compensated at the higher end of this range. The stated compensation ranges reflect estimated full-time annual compensation and do not include the full value of additional benefits. Actual earnings may vary and may increase over time based on experience, productivity, performance, and market adjustments.
