Job Description
1. Keep up with emerging trends in Information Security and information protection
2. Develop creative and low cost methods to continue protecting all of SBH Health Systems data systems
3. Promote Information Security on Workplace the hospital’s internal communication system
4. Resolve Information Security based requests logged via the CA ticketing system
5. Ensure network security: implement security measures to protect company and user data, monitor networks to ensure their availability to specific users and maintain the integrity of the network and server deployment.
6. Help develop security-based procedures for vendor onboarding
7. Will serve as one of two responsible for server-based windows updates
8. Develop methods to monitor intrusion and lateral movement into and around the hospital network 24/7
9. Monitor systems backups
10. Update devices: maintain network facilities in machines like drivers, printers and personal computers. Work with desktops, printers, firewalls and smartphones to troubleshoot performance issues, ensure authentication configurations and install updates and patches.
11. Maintain servers: monitoring the performance of various network servers like file servers, intrusion detection systems and VPN gateways.
13. All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience related to roles/responsibilities described above.
- License/Certification/Registration(s) Required: N/A
- Experience/Skills Required:
- Two – four years of active and progressive experience in a healthcare environment that has provided knowledge of complex hospital operations.
- Prior experience in health care information technology, including systems and infrastructure management
- Knowledge of Cisco core, VOIP and intermediate networking
- Knowledge of Microsoft’s suite of System Center products
- Hyper – V and Remote Desktop protocol experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft ATA a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good documentation and organization skills
