Structural Engineering Intern

Job Description
We are seeking dynamic and innovative Structural Engineering Interns for full-time during the summer months of 2027. This is a great opportunity to learn more about your chosen field! The ideal candidate will be a student who wishes to increase their knowledge of commercial, institutional, and industrial structures, learn about computer analysis software systems, and work in a professional fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work semi-independently.
- Possess basic level computer skills necessary for daily activities including email, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, and a working knowledge of computer-aided drafting.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
- Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel preferred.
- Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 years of required courses completed towards an undergraduate degree in architectural engineering, structural engineering, or civil engineering with an emphasis on structures.
Expected hourly rate: $25.00 to $30.00 (Junior or Senior in Undergraduate Program)
Expected hourly rate: $30.00 to $35.00 (First-year Graduate in Master’s Program)
Actual hourly rate will depend on years of education and experience.
