Network Engineer

A respected Dallas organization with a strong, people-first culture wants someone who's hungry to learn. You'll start by getting to know their environment. Then you'll take ownership of a backlog of Level 3/4 micro-segmentation tickets and see them through to resolution, working directly with the application and DevOps teams. Over time, you'll grow into other network and security areas. This is a 1+ year contract working 3 days on-site/2 days remote in Dallas.

COMP: Up to $55-$70/HR based on candidate's experience, etc.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Troubleshoot and resolve NSX micro-segmentation and VM-to-VM communication issues
• Manage and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewall policies, NAT, and security issues
• Own and drive Level 3/4 tickets to resolution
• Collaborate with application, DevOps, and infrastructure teams
• Plan, document, and execute network changes

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• 3 4+ years of network/network security experience
• Hands-on VMware NSX & micro-segmentation experience
• Palo Alto firewall experience
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• Hungry to learn and take ownership
• Home labs/personal networking projects are a plus
