Job Opportunity: Gastroenterologist - Hickory, NC

We are seeking 3 full-time gastroenterologists to join our dynamic team in Hickory, NC, a beautiful city nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This is an exciting opportunity to provide 24-hour coverage with a mix of onsite shifts and call coverage, while living in a location known for its outdoor recreation, thriving community, and excellent quality of life.

Position Details:

• Location: Hickory, NC - a charming, growing community offering a balanced lifestyle with access to scenic parks, lakes, and cultural attractions.
• Coverage:
  
  • Onsite Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
  • Call Coverage: Monday to Friday, 5pm to 8am, with weekend call starting Friday at 5pm and ending Monday at 8am.
• Responsibilities: Provide GI consultations, manage emergent GI procedures (e.g., endoscopy, colonoscopy), gastrointestinal bleeding, obstructions, perforations, and post-operative complications.
• Call Coverage Details:
  
  • Physicians are not required to remain onsite during call support unless necessary, allowing for flexibility.
  • Situations requiring physician presence include emergent procedures, GI bleeding, obstructions, perforations, and complex post-op complications.
• Documentation: Call back hours are to be logged accurately, with detailed notes to ensure compliance with EHR audits.
