Ideal candidates are comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative BIM environment.Essential Job Functions/Duties:Work with engineers to develop and update original drawings and revisions for engineering projects using Revit MEP models, AutoCAD, 3D, and other software for HVAC and plumbing system projects.Draft layouts based on engineer markups and red lines.Coordinate model elements to support various level engineers and project managers during the planning and design stages of projects. Assist with the development and maintenance of standard Revit families, templates, details and graphic standards.Assist with the development and maintenance of standard AutoCAD templates, details and graphic standards. Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to translate mark-ups/sketches into drawings consistent with company standards; check drawings for consistency with standards and plot final drawings; correctly label final work drawings; and update contract drawings and specifications.Maintain standard drawing files and templates in accordance with company standards. Assist in field activities to gather project information as necessary.Coordinate work with disciplines including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, lighting and low voltage.Work at the direction of the Project Manager.Provide technical support to other engineers and draftspersons.Attend staff meetings.Interact with clients, vendors, contractors, architects and fellow engineers to coordinate designs.Report to Project Managers and senior management about progress and changes.Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededply with the company policies and procedures.Required Qualifications:1+ year of MEP Revit drafting experience.Ability to clearly communicate verbally and orally about highly technical subject matter.Thorough understanding of plumbing systems and component materials.Ability to work extended hours and workdays in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and work demands as needed.Capacity to analyze a problem from multiple perspectives and explore creative solutions.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.High attention to detail with a desire for excellence.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Exceptional organizational and project management abilities. Ability to work well with others.Professional attitude and appearance.Valid Drivers' license.Physical & Mental Demands and Working Conditions: RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to articulate concepts and ideas in a clear, concise and accurate manner.Must have the ability to assess problems and provide solutions and use good judgment.Occasionally will need to reach with hands and arms, lift up to 25 pounds, climb/balance, stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl and push/pull file cabinet drawers.Must be able to identify and assess information on computer screens and written reports and documentation and record accurate written and electronic messages and reports. Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols and eye/hand coordination. Position requires occasional (20%) travel within the local area, traveling to office and business locations to conduct business transactions. This involves exposure to weather conditions, traveling distances to and from buildings, and operating a vehicle.Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols and eye/hand coordination.
