Job description

Available Positions:

  • Consultation & Liaison Faculty
  • Consultation & Liaison and Inpatient Faculty
  • Psychiatric Hospitalist - schedule 7 days on/off
  • Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship Associate Program Director
  • Addiction Psychiatry Faculty

Position Highlights:

  • Academic appointment with UCLA
  • Established referral base assures full patient panel

Requirements:

  • Candidates must be residency-trained
  • Fellowship training required for the Addiction Psychiatry Faculty positions
  • Board certified/eligible required

Kern Medical Overview:

  • Only designated level II trauma center for Kern County and also serves as a tertiary medical center (222 beds)
  • UCLA affiliated teaching hospital
  • Kern Medical trains over 200 medical & osteopathic students, residents and fellows annually
  • Graduate medical education programs in the specialties of Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Psychiatry, General Surgery and Pharmacy as well as Fellowship Programs in Child & Adolescent and Addiction Psychiatry, Infectious Disease, Addiction Medicine and Simulation Laboratory (non-ACGME program)
  • Accredited stroke center
  • Thirteen outpatient clinics for nearly 217,000 patients
