If this sounds like the opportunity you've been looking for, please apply now!SUMMARY:A shipping warehouse job involves managing the movement of goods in and out of a warehouse facility, including receiving, storing, and preparing shipments for delivery. This role typically includes verifying shipments, packing orders, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining inventory records. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Build and load crates.Use power tools, table saw, panel saw, drills and air tools to cut and assemble crates and pallets.Receiving and Processing ShipmentsInspecting incoming deliveries to ensure accuracy, checking for damage, and confirming compliance with company standards. Inventory ManagementSorting, labeling, and storing items in designated locations, following inventory management protocols. Ability to consistently lift and move heavy objects, more than 50 lbs. Extended periods of heavy lifting and bending. Preparing Orders for ShipmentPicking, packing, wrapping, crating, labeling, and shipping orders according to schedules. Loading and UnloadingUsing equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload trucks and containers. Inventory ControlPerforming inventory counts, verifying stock levels, and updating inventory records. DocumentationMaintaining records of incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing bills of lading, and other shipping documents. Maintaining a Clean and Safe WorkspaceEnsuring the warehouse is clean, organized, free of hazards, and compliant with safety regulations. CommunicationCommunicating with supervisors, coworkers, and other departments to facilitate smooth operations. Problem-SolvingAddressing issues related to shipments, inventory, or logistics. ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSExperience with warehouse management systems (WMS).Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.Strong organizational and time management skills.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures.QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
