Job description

We are looking for an experienced Linux Administrator to manage, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux servers and infrastructure. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Linux/Unix operating systems, shell scripting, networking, system monitoring, security, and server administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers.
  • Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar distributions.
  • Monitor server performance, CPU, memory, disk utilization, and system health.
  • Manage users, groups, permissions, and access controls.
  • Configure and manage file systems, LVM, RAID, and storage.
  • Install and manage software packages and system updates.
  • Perform OS patching, upgrades, and security hardening.
  • Troubleshoot system, application, network, and performance issues.
  • Manage services, processes, jobs, and system resources.
  • Configure and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, SSH, FTP/SFTP, HTTP/HTTPS services.
  • Monitor system logs and investigate errors.
  • Develop and maintain Shell scripts for automation.
  • Configure and manage scheduled tasks using cron and at.
  • Perform backup and recovery activities.
  • Support high-availability and disaster-recovery environments.
  • Implement security controls and follow infrastructure security standards.
  • Participate in incident, change, and problem management.
  • Maintain system documentation and operational procedures.
