Linda Valley Villa, an independent living community for senior retirees located in Loma Linda, seeks an experienced and responsible Housekeeper that will perform housekeeping duties in the community. The Housekeeper will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining a sanitary, organized, and safe environment for our independent living community.

Hiring Wage $16.90-$20.28/hr Depending On Experience. Full-time position. Shift starts at 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends or holidays
JOB FUNCTION
Performs routine cleaning tasks and launders bed linens and towels. Provides a clean and safe environment for residents, guests, and staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Follows directions and schedule to clean community,
2. Vacuums, sweep, dusts, cleans bathrooms, empties trash of assigned apartments. Defrosts refrigerators when needed. Change beds and towels weekly. Notifies Executive Director if resident needs additional services.
3. Uses wet mop on designated floor surfaces. Uses hazard warning signs when indicated.
4. Cleans common areas on established schedule.
5. Cleans public bathrooms (supplies paper towels, soap, and toilet paper).
6. Empties trash cans.
7. Cleans windows, sliding glass doors, walls, carpets, and doors on assigned schedule.
8. Clean offices on an established schedule.
9. Launders residents’ clothes on assigned schedule and returns items to their apartments.
10. Keeps Executive Director informed of supply needs.
11. Communicates to the Executive Director equipment in need of repair.
12. Keeps housekeeping carts lockeda dn organized.
13. Assures residents privacy and dignity while working in their apartment.
14. Works as a Chancellor team member to maintain a pleasant, effective work environment for staff and caring home environment for the residents.
15. Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Receives general supervision, consultation, and direction from the Executive Director and/or Office Manager
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
No supervision is exercised.
HAZARDS
Possible exposure to cleaning chemicals.
EQUIPMENT USED
Mop, vacuum, broom, cleaning cloths/towels, washer, dryer, and housekeeping carts.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Must be able to read and communicate in English.
2. Ability to work a rotation of holidays and/or weekend shifts.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
Ability to perform repetitive tasks on a continuous basis. Ability to lift 50lbs. Push and pull heavy housekeeping carts.
