System Installation Technician

Responsibilities

· Install cameras, tablets, and tracking devices on trucks/trailers.

· Remove and replace damaged GPS trackers.

· Conduct inspections and maintain the tire pressure system in trucks.

· Check and adjust pressure system boxes on trailers, including replacing pressure system lights as needed.

· Install and uninstall test products as required.

· Conduct repairs on wheel covers.

· Install Electronic Logging Device (ELD) on new units and addresses damaged or faulty parts.

· Adjust and/or update truck parameters using Cummins Power Spec and OE software.

· Document repairs in maintenance software accurately and effectively.

· Troubleshoot tracking devices to ensure proper functionality.

Required Qualifications

· High School Diploma or equivalent required.

· One year of mechanical experience preferred.

· Vocational/technical school preferred.

· Excellent attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently and within a team setting.

· Ability to use hand tools.

· Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Physical Demands

· While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.

· The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.

· Prolonged periods of standing.

· The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception.
