Responsibilities
Howyou’llmake an impact in this role
- Controls, starts, and shuts down primary and auxiliary power plant equipment—including boilers, turbines, generators, pumps, and compressors—using control boards and sequential switches.
- Monitors meters, gauges, and computer systems at established intervals to regulate power flow, adjust water levels, and detect potential operating problems.
- Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs, such as cleaning, lubricating equipment, and tightening leaking joints, to prevent system failure or deterioration.
- Documents plant operations bymaintainingaccuratelogs, completing forms, writing equipment malfunction reports, and handling emergency outage communication.
- Leads team operations by assigning daily work to maximize plant efficiency,assistingwith shift scheduling, and training team members on equipmentmonitoringand maintenance.
- Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on cross-functional teams,participatesin informational meetings and workshops, andassistswith specialprojects asassigned.
Qualifications
Whatminimumrequirementsyou’llneed
Must have one or more of the following:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Relevant license
- Graduate of trade school
Andone or more of the following:
- 5years ofrelevantexperience.
- Other equivalentcombinationof relevant education or experience
