For over 25 years, we've been proud to serve the Snohomish County community with high-quality care for cats and dogs. As a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, we offer the close-knit feel of a neighborhood clinic with the resources and opportunities of a larger network.

Our hospital is fast-paced, friendly, and rooted in honest communication, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to exceptional care. From wellness and dental services to surgery, we combine technology and compassion to make a real difference in the lives of pets and their families.

If you're ready to grow your career in a place that truly values its people, we'd love to welcome you to the Petcare family.

About You

The Practice Manager (PM) is critical to the success of the hospital, ensuring a positive culture built on shared values and direct communication, creating operational efficiencies, and problem solving to improve client service and employee engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day to day operations of the veterinary hospital, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent customer service.

  • Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining adequate stock levels of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals.

  • Collaborate with the Medical Director (MD) and the veterinary team to optimize patient care and workflow.

  • Hire, train, and mentor staff members, promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Provide support and guidance to team members, stepping in to assist whenever necessary.

  • Motivates staff and helps build and maintain morale.

  • Utilize feedback from clients, staff, and management to identify areas of improvement and implement appropriate changes.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to hospital operations, finances, and inventory management.

  • Monitor financial performance, analyze key metrics, and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.

  • Promotes continuous quality improvement to ensure the practices' success and achieve the vision.

  • Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to veterinary medicine and practice management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, CVMP, or related field preferred.

  • Three years of supervisory experience required.

  • Three years or more of managing a veterinary practice required.

  • Demonstrated ability to show empathy towards clients and treat animals with respect and compassion.

  • Familiarity with inventory management and procedures.

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Strong leadership skills and demonstrated commitment to team development and mentorship.

  • Capable of leading, managing, and coaching staff at all levels.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Self-motivated and proactive with a positive attitude.

  • Willingness to learn and expand knowledge of veterinary medicine and practice management.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced, team oriented environment.

  • Demonstrated competence in budgeting and financial reporting, including reading and analyzing a P&L statement.

  • Must have a availability during business hours, with occasional flexibility to accommodate hospitals' needs.
