Litigation Attorney | Defense
A respected and established law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to build a long-term career in civil defense litigation while gaining meaningful experience on a variety of matters.
Trial experience is not required. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, critical thinker and advocate who wants to continue developing as a litigator.
Assist with civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions and other litigation documents
Participate in discovery, depositions, hearings and settlement negotiations
Work closely with experienced attorneys on case strategy
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel and other parties
Develop increasing responsibility as your experience grows
Gain exposure to all stages of litigation
Active bar license in the applicable jurisdiction
Approximately 2–6 years of legal experience
Litigation experience preferred
Strong legal research and writing skills
Excellent communication and analytical abilities
Strong attention to detail
Desire to develop as a litigator
Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines
Trial experience is a plus, but not required.
