We are currently hiring an Inspector Packer I to operate, monitor, and control part of a production line while ensuring packaged products meet safety, quality, and production standards.
Shift: 1st 7AM to 3PM | 2nd 3PM to 11PM | 3rd 11PM to 7AM
Rate: $20/HR. – $22/HR.
Location: Oak Cliff area
Responsibilities
•Follow safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all required safety procedures.
• Package finished products manually or mechanically.
• Visually inspect finished products for defects and verify package counts.
• Inspect products for proper sanitary conditions.
• Assemble, load, unload, and stack materials and products.
• Perform scheduled quality checks and complete required paperwork.
• Communicate quality and machinery concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Start and shut down machinery according to standard operating procedures.
• Clear product jams from machinery as needed.
• Work multiple production lines and provide relief when required.
• Track finished cases and production interruptions.
• Participate in problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
Qualifications
• Ability to understand and follow workplace processes and procedures.
• Ability to count, add, and subtract.
• Ability to meet safety and quality standards.
• Minimum proficiency in English to effectively complete training and communicate safety and quality information.
• Six months of experience in inspection, packaging, or quality checks is preferred.
• Work Environment & Physical Requirements
• Work environment may include exposure to heat, loud noise, dirt, dust, odors, and fumes.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, crawl, reach, push, pull, carry, lift, lower, stoop, and crouch.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas.
• May be required to work additional hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
