Job Summary:
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in inpatient care is needed in Corpus Christi, Texas. This role involves working at a medical center to provide speech therapy services to inpatients, including evaluations and treatment of swallowing and communication disorders. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Corpus Christi, Texas
- Schedule: Day Shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: Valid Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, no minimum years of experience required
- Additional Information:Unit has 15 beds with 20 staff membersResponsibilities include performing evaluations and treating patients with swallowing and speech disorders, including Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS) for speech therapyWorking in a team-oriented, energetic environment within an acute care hospital settingTypical equipment includes basic lift and therapy equipmentEMR system used is MeditechFloat: Float rotation may be requiredDress Code: Navy Blue scrubsUnit policies and guidelines are available upon requestAt least 2 weekend days per month are requiredPosition start date: June 22, 2026
