ABOUT THE JOB
Provide technical assistance pertaining to the formulation, production, quality and testing of new and existing products and processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with sales on new product requests, designing, testing, prototyping new solutions.
- Lead laboratory development work including formulation and process design.
- Develop new product technology transfer scale up plan, including production process specifications, and quality metrics.
- Collaborate with Operations on new product scale up implementation and ongoing production efficiency improvements.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Planning, and Operations to reduce inventory and disposition costs.
- Provide training and work direction for process technicians. Work may include lifting, handling, or maintaining equipment or operation of production equipment.
- Produce product specifications, including Manufactured and Shipping/Receiving specifications, for all products and non-prepackaged materials to meet customer needs.
- Provide on-site technical support for Operations and Manufacturing staff, requiring periodic travel, and extended hours.
- Conduct general product maintenance as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
ABOUT YOU:
- Bachelor of Science in a technical field (i.e. Engineering, Chemistry, Biology) required.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of chemicals and manufacturing processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Must demonstrate active listening, problem solving, and relationship skills.
- Familiarity with various production/laboratory instrumentation; trouble shooting, training, start up, validation, maintenance. This may include but isn’t limited to HPLC, ICP-OES, pH, conductivity, spectrophotometers, and auto-titration systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Ability to quickly learn and understand new computer software as it pertains to job requirements.
- Knowledge of experimental design and statistics is preferred.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work independently.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Up to 20%
Expected Compensation: $70,-80,/year. + 5% bonus eligibility
