County Line Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced full- or part-time Animal Groomer to join our New Braunfels, TX team in a 1099 role! If you know all about working with dogs and cats, gentle handling techniques, and professional grooming services, you could be the person we need.In this contracted position, your pay is directly impacted by your performance and the revenue you generate. The more pets you groom, the more you can make! You'll be working full- or part-time between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Keep reading to learn how you can get started as our Animal Groomer!ANIMAL GROOMER QUALIFICATIONSWe want to make it clear that this is NOT an entry-level position and that you need professional experience! Grooming your own dog or cat doesn't count. If you do not meet ALL of these requirements, your application will not be considered:3+ years of professional, verifiable grooming experienceAbility to show up consistently, be on time, and follow through with scheduled appointmentsAbility to lift animals weighing up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, safely use grooming equipment, and keep up in a fast-paced environmentComfort working with dogs and cats of all sizes, breeds, and temperamentsKnowledge of humane handling techniquesStrong attention to detail and commitment to cleanlinessCustomer service mindsetThe following criteria would be preferred:Professional grooming certification5+ years of experience in a veterinary settingProfessional salon or veterinary grooming experienceLow-stress handling experienceExperience training and mentoring less-experienced team membersWHAT TO EXPECTAs our full- or part-time 1099 Animal Groomer, you'll be responsible for safely washing and trimming all kinds of dogs and cats to make their coats shine! As you work, you'll make sure to follow all protocols to keep the pets safe and comfortable.
