Job description
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with diesel engines. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks. This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of equipment and vehicles, including trucks and construction equipment. Pay will be dependent upon experience.Responsibilities:Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with diesel engines.Repair or replace defective parts, such as fuel systems, brakes, and transmissions.Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations.Test drive vehicles to ensure proper performance.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Keep accurate records of work performed.Adhere to all safety guidelines.Requirements:At least 5 years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred.High school diploma or equivalent.Certification from a diesel mechanic program is preferred.Proven experience as a diesel mechanic.Strong knowledge of diesel engines and their components.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.Excellent problem-solving skills.Good communication skills.Standard Newhire Benefits:6 Paid Holidays after 90-days2 Days Sick Pay annually after 90-days2 Days Bereavement Pay after 90-days (according to Bereavement Policy)Eligible for Health/Dental/Vision insurance after 90-daysEligible for 401k after 1-year employment (4% match)40 hours vacation after 1-year employment, and annually thereafter; 80 hours vacation after 3-year employment, and annually thereafterEqual Opportunity Employer: Ranger Environmental provides equal employment opportunity to all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth and related medical conditions), national origin, age (40 or over), citizenship, physical or mental disability.
