Client name: TCH (Texas Children s Hospital)

Max Pay: $22/hr on W2 + $1/hr for Parking

Job Title: Medical Assistant II (36413459) 2 Positions

Job Location: Austin , TX 78717

Job Duration: 03 Months Contract

Schedule: Monday Friday 8am-5p

Duties:

Welcomes and interacts with all patients, families, and visitors in a professional, timely, age appropriate, and culturally

sensitive manner.

Responds to customer questions with prompt information and/or service related to appointment status, wait time, or

unanticipated problems.

Communicates with patient, staff, and providers regarding patient arrivals, delays, and clinic processes.

Proactively approaches dissatisfied customers and implements customer service recovery measures.

Identifies prolonged wait times for patients in waiting room and reports to clinic manager.

Obtains translation services as needed for customers.

Participates in clinic meetings to assist in planning optimal patient flow for session/day.

Attends staff meetings or signs attendance records for reading of minutes and attends mandatory training and

development activities by established guidelines as evidenced by supervisory observation and written/verbal feedback.

Notifies licensed staff or supervisor when unable to complete assigned tasks or responsibilities.

OBGYN Clinic

Monday Friday 8am-5p

MA Cert; at least 1-2 years of OBGYN experience required

Skills:

Knowledge of nursing/medical assistant patient care tasks, the managed care industry, appointment scheduling, related

medical terminology and customer service concepts.

The ability to operate proficiently a personal computer and basic clinic/patient care, office equipment; demonstrate

interpersonal skills; demonstrate good verbal communication skills; demonstrate good time management skills and provide

excellent customer service skills. The ability to demonstrate quick decision making and self-initiated work behaviors is

necessary. Bilingual in Spanish/English a preferred

Education:

Required- High School Diploma or GED

REQUIRED- 2 years of related experience

CCMA - Cert-Cert Clinical MA - CCMA National Healthcareer Association Or

CMA-AAM - Cert-Cert Medical Assistant American Association of Medical Assistants Or

EMT - Emergency Medical Techn Texas Department of State Health Services Or

EMT-A - Advanced EMT Texas Department of State Health Services Or

EMT-B - Emergency Medical Techn-Basic Texas Department of State Health Services Or

EMT-I - Emergency Medical Techn-Interm Texas Department of State Health Services Or

EMT-P - Emergency Medical Techn-Parame Texas Department of State Health Services Or

LIC PAR - Lic-Paramedic Texas Department of State Health Services Or

NCMA - National Cert Med Assistant National Center for Competency Testing Or

NRCMA - Nat Reg Cert Med Assistant National Association of Health Professionals Or

RMA - Registered Medical Assistant

American Association of Medical Personnel,

American Allied Health, American Medical

Technologists, or American Registry of Medical

Assistants

TCH On boarding Process - Mandatory for all Candidates:

• Minimum 2 weeks needed to complete the on boarding process once offer is accepted
• Must clear the 7 years Criminal Background Investigation
• Education will be Verified by Background Check Agency or the Candidate should be able to provide proof of the minimum Education required as per the job descriptionSwamy
• Employment will be Verified by Background Check Agency
• Mandatory Lab Screens (Drug Screen, MMR, Varicella, Tdap and TB Test). Candidates can also share the old screening records so that we can check and then schedule the required screens accordingly
• Candidates cannot start on the assignment without completing the above. We will be scheduling and covering the cost for the above
