Job description

ADVANCE YOUR CAREER. ADVANCE THE WORLD.

At AMD, we believe technology can change lives for the better. It can heal us, entertain us, and make us more connected, productive, and understanding of the world around us. And we’re looking for talent who feel the same: people who want to leave the planet better than they found it, those who don’t shy away from humanity’s challenges but are determined to help solve them.

AMD is powering the next generation of supercomputing, high-performance computing, cloud, and AI. Whether you’re designing next-gen processors, enabling AI breakthroughs, or creating go-to-market plans, every role at AMD contributes to something bigger — technology that moves the world forward.

THE ROLE:

AMD is seeking a Sr. Program Management Analyst who will drive the delivery of industry-leading hardware solutions across AMD products and their target markets. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of innovators and shape the future of technology. You will interact with many engineers, architects, and executives to build comprehensive plans to ensure successful delivery of major innovations in future software and hardware designs

THE PERSON:

You are analytical, action-oriented, and comfortable operating at pace amid ambiguity. You turn demand signals into executable plans, align cross-functional partners (Business Units, Procurement, Engineering, Operations), and drive closure with external manufacturers. You communicate clearly, translate constraints into options, and follow through to protect commitments and revenue.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Material Planning & Readiness

  • Lead weekly material readiness reviews integrating engineering release schedules, procurement status, and build plans to maintain >95% readiness for all hardware builds.
  • Develop and maintain Master Production Schedules (MPS) based on demand forecasts, BOM changes, and supplier lead times.
  • Monitor inventory health across ERP systems and implement mitigation plans for shortages, excess, and aging stock.
  • Ensure material and BOM accuracy through proactive data validation and cross-system reconciliation (ERP, PLM, and engineering trackers).

Supplier & Procurement Coordination

  • Partner closely with sourcing and procurement to secure timely delivery of critical components.
  • Track supplier on-time delivery, lead times, and pricing trends to anticipate risks and enable corrective actions.
  • Support procurement escalations and work with suppliers to resolve material constraints during prototype and ramp-up phases.
  • Maintain visibility to material cost drivers and supplier performance metrics for continuous improvement.

Budget & Cost Management

  • Track and report material spending versus approved budgets (NRE, build phase, and operational).
  • Perform variance and usage analysis to identify cost reduction or re-use opportunities.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations on forecasting and reporting to maintain alignment with quarterly goals.

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Develop dashboards (Excel, Power BI, or SQL-based) to consolidate material, procurement, and inventory metrics into actionable insights.
  • Report readiness KPIs, spend variance, and supplier performance to management and program stakeholders.
  • Use analytics to drive recommendations for optimizing supply chain efficiency and lead-time reduction.

Continuous Improvement & Governance

  • Drive process improvement initiatives using Lean principles, PFMEA, and root-cause analysis frameworks.
  • Standardize safety stock models, planning parameters, and readiness templates across programs.
  • Support audit readiness, documentation governance, and adherence to company inventory policies.

Key Metrics

  • On-Time Material Readiness: ≥ 95%
  • Inventory Accuracy: ≥ 99%
  • Supplier On-Time Delivery: ≥ 95%
  • Budget Adherence: ≤ 5% variance
  • Cost Savings & Process Improvements: Annual goals as set by management

Core Competencies

  • Data-driven and detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration across engineering, procurement, and manufacturing.
  • Skilled in balancing inventory efficiency with program agility.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and ownership-driven execution.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficiency with SAP or equivalent ERP/MRP systems; strong Excel, SQL, and Power BI analytics skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional partners and external manufacturers to secure commitments and drive issue closure.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, able to deliver clear, decision-ready updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting rack-scale systems, server/data center hardware, or other complex, multi-level BOM environments.
  • Experience with contract manufacturers/ODMs, including capacity, constraints, and delivery commitments.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP and planning tools; strong Excel skills (Power BI a plus).

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or other engineering related fields.

LOCATION: Secaucus, NJ

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
