About the Position Location: Wallowa, Oregon Start Date: 8/10/2026 Length of Assignment: 13 Weeks (1280 Hours Contract) Schedule: 32 hrs/wk (8-hr days, Monday – Thursday; 40 hrs/wk from main office during school breaks) Job Description Medix has partnered with a premier healthcare facility to find a dedicated School Based Therapist for a high-impact travel assignment in Wallowa. As a trusted healthcare clinician, you will play a crucial role in delivering school-based mental health counseling and supporting youth development. In this role, you will provide clinical counseling across K-12 county schools, conduct mental health screenings, and deliver outpatient counseling/assessments from the main office during student break weeks. Schedule Details Work Week: 32 hrs/wk (8-hr days, Monday – Thursday; 40 hrs/wk from main office during school breaks) Shift Hours: 8 hours per shift (32 hours per week). Responsibilities • Provide school-based mental health counseling, screenings, and ongoing educational support across K-12 schools (~200 students district-wide). • Report to main office during school breaks, teacher in-service days, and holiday weeks to provide outpatient individual/family therapy and mental health assessments. • Attend required make-up days and complete onboarding/wrap-up activities.
