Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM | 6 call days per month | No block schedule
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled perioperative nursing care within a cardiovascular/open heart operating room environment
- Assist surgical team throughout cardiac and open heart procedures, ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency
- Fulfill on-call responsibilities as scheduled, approximately 6 days per month
- Adhere to holiday coverage expectations, including 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in cardiac/open heart OR or CVOR setting
- AHA BLS certification required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certification in Surgical Technology (NBSTSA or NCCT)
- Familiarity with open heart surgical procedures and cardiovascular instrumentation
