Job Title: Registered Nurse - Critical Care/Echocardiography Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Critical Care/Echo Cardiac/Stress Testing Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8.5 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Critical Care/Cardiac nursing License: Valid nursing license (North Dakota or compact) Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Critical Care/Cardiac experience Stress testing experience Ability to administer conscious sedation and recover patients post-procedure Experience with rhythm interpretation Strong assessment skills Description: The role requires critical care and cardiac experience, with a focus on echocardiography procedures. Candidates will be responsible for administering conscious sedation and recovering patients post-procedure. Experience with rhythm interpretation is essential, alongside solid assessment skills. The unit performs Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) and Cardioversions regularly. Stress testing experience is preferred but not mandatory. The equipment utilized includes a defibrillator, as well as specific charting systems. Nurses in this role will collaborate with charge nurses and providers, participating in an average of 8 TEE or Cardioversion procedures daily. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1 in the unit. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs. Participation in weekend call will be required one weekend a month and on holidays for those with stress testing experience. There is no floating to other units or departments within the facility.
