Job description
We have an exciting opportunity Radiography Testing Inspector 2 in Newport News, VA with one of our Clients in Shipbuilding Industry.Qualifications:
  • Must have TC1A Qualifications. Having 250-1500 qualifications would be a plus
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Must be able to pass hair follicle drug test
  • Must have TC1A Qualifications. Having 250-1500 qualifications would be a plus.
  • Blueprint reading
  • All inspectors shall have documented qualification/certification to the Level II requirements of ASNT SNT-TC-1A, 2016 Edition
  • RT inspectors must have passed and have documentation of certification of IRRSP from an approved entity
  • Inspectors shall have passed written general theory, procedure specific and practical examinations for RT inspection piping, casting and or structure welds
  • Specific examinations cover the equipment, operating procedures and test techniques that candidates may encounter in their specific assignment.
  • Specific examination also covers the specifications, codes and acceptance criteria used in the applicable NDT procedures. Practical examination covers inspection performance of X-ray and Gamma radiography.
Hours:
  • 1st Shift – Starts at 6AM – may work 8,10 or 12 hour shifts
  • 2nd Shift – Starts at 3PM – may work 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts
  • 3rd Shift – Starts at 10pm- may work 8, 10 or 12 hours shifts
Pay:
  • Non-Local: Up to $36-$46 depending on experience + $135 Per Diem
