  • Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our growing team.
  • In this role, you will provide direct support and behavioral interventions to children, adolescents, and adults under the supervision of licensed clinicians.
  • This position is ideal for compassionate individuals who are passionate about behavioral therapy, social skill development, and client advocacy .
  • As a BHT, you’ll work one-on-one with clients to help them manage behaviors, build coping skills, and achieve their treatment goals - both at home and in community settings.
  • Key Responsibilities Implement individualized behavioral health treatment plans developed by clinical supervisors.
  • Provide direct one-on-one support and behavioral interventions to clients in home, school, or community environments.
  • Monitor, observe, and document client behaviors and progress in accordance with treatment protocols.
  • Utilize behavior modification, crisis intervention, de-escalation, and coping strategy techniques as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation.
  • Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and other members of the treatment team.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
  • Attend staff meetings, supervision sessions, and ongoing training as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards.

Qualifications Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in behavioral health, mental health, or social services.
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain clearances as required.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Preferred:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or related field.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral challenges.
  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
  • Crisis intervention certification (e.g., CPI or PCM).
  • Core Competencies Compassionate, patient, and empathetic when working with clients and families.
  • Strong communication and active listening skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during challenging situations.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with strong documentation skills.
  • Team player who thrives in collaborative environments.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to high-quality client care.
